NAME

The school is namedin after one of indonesia’s most famous sunans (Indonesian title for the first holy men to bring islam to java).

KH Mufid Mas’ud, a 14^th generation descendent of Sunan Pandanaran chose this name to honor his ancestor and to remember pandanaran’s struggle to spread Islamic teaching to Indonesia

HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT OF SUNAN PANDANARAN

Well known in the Yogyakarta Muslim Community for his gift as a teacher of the holy Qur’an, KH Mufid Mas’ud and his wife Ny. Hj Jauharoh house, a Mosque, And 2000 Square meters of land PPSPA started with only school has since grown to encompass a full seet of religious and non-Religious curriculum for elementary, junior, and high school levels as well as special courses of study for University Level Students,,,

Hostel I- The original Pesantren Sunan Pandanaran Complex houses male students who are learning to memorize the Holy Al-Qur’an

Hostel II – Houses female students who are learning to memorize the Holy Qur’an.

Hostel III – Al-Khondak complex is largest facility, and it houses all of the junior and senior high school students (male or female)

Hostel IV – Mahasiswa Komplex – this facility houses university students studying at Pandanaran
